High-order harmonic spectroscopy in an ionized high-density target

چکیده

We use high-order harmonic spectroscopy to study ionization dynamics in a macroscopic target with tunable density, spanning over six orders of magnitude. In an situ pump-probe experiment, the is prepared at different densities varying degrees laser-induced ionization. High-order radiation generated pre-ionized target, and steepening decrease yield observed for increasing pre-ionization, allowing not only identify contributing quantum paths during generation but also determining amount within target. The measurements allow probing plasma high spatio-temporal resolution are specifically interest optimization process high-density targets number up 10 22 cm −3 .
